Introduction
For many designers Notion is one of the most used tools. On the last 4 years, I've been using this tool and I really love the simplicity and how you can use it. Today I am going to explain how to create a blog with Notion. Before I start, I would like to mention that Notion was not designed to act as a CMS. However, I've found it very interesting the idea of using differently. So let's start!
Get started
Having a blog in Notion is the simplest and faster way for just $4/month. On the following steps, I will explain how to build a notion page and setting up on super.so.
๐ Sign up and select the your notion plan. In my case I am using the free one.
๐ Create your home page, present yourself and add your articles. You can see my blog.
๐ Build a new page with the blog template for your posts. Start writing and customise it depending on your needs.
๐ Click on the sharing option and make your page public. Internal pages needs to be public as well.
๐ Sign up and enjoy your trial for 7 days. After this period it would be $4/month.
๐ Add your new site and select super default (it is more stable in my opinion).
๐ Introduce your site name, custom domain and your public url (the notion one of your page).
๐ Choose your provider. In my case, I am going to choose namecheap.
๐ Later on, add an A record to your domain with the values showed on your screen and click continue.
๐ Last but not least, you can choose your custom google font, site image and favicon. Besides, you can introduce a script like google analytics. Finally, you can introduce the meta description of your notion page and continue.
๐ Done! Your site would be live shortly.
